Xiaomi has announced Mi Band 4 in a event in China and it is the biggest upgrade of all time. It is available in three versions, the top models receiving NFC.
The new smartband is equipped with a 0.95 inch AMOLED color display with a resolution of 120 x 240 and a scratch-resistant 2.5D glass. It features 77 colorful dial themes for additional customizations.
An interesting new addition to the Mi Band 4 is the new six-axis high precision accelerometer for better tracking, which now features a swim detection feature. Thanks to its waterproof design, you can dive in water up to 50 meters deep. The band will even help you determine your swimming skills based on your performance.
Another novelty is the built-in microphone, which activates the new voice commands and the Xiao AI voice assistant. Mi Band 4 users can control IoT devices using voice commands and other compatible smart devices. NFC has cut even the most expensive versions and offers access to digital payments, public transport cards and easier phone pairing.
The new watch retains the heart rate and sleep quality index of its predecessor and also supports Bluetooth 5.0. Xiaomi claims an autonomy of 15 days for the NFC version and 20 days for the standard device.
The Mi Band 4 is available in black, brown, blue, orange and pink colours. The standard Mi band 4 costs 169 yuan, or about 1,700 rupees in India, the NFC variant 229 yuan or 2,300 rupees in India and the limited edition of the Avenger Mi-band 4 series at 349 yuan or 3,500 rupees. The launch of Mi Band 4 is planned in India, but the company has not yet announced details of its launch or prices for India.
