WhatsApp Puts Limit in Message Forwarding
WhatsApp has started setting a limit of five forwards per post in India. The main motive is to control the dissemination of false information on the platform. The Facebook acquired messaging platform is under control in India, after reports that are common viral video messages from the application has led to violence in some parts of the country.
They generally will limit the number of forwards to 20 outside India. But in India, tests the lower limit of 5. According to Indo-Asian News Service, WhatsApp has confirmed that India has started implementing the chat forwading limit.
This new border will make sure that if a multimedia message is forwarded five times from a single user account , WhatsApp will disable the option for a later forward. WhatsApp has already discovered that India is a market where people send more messages, photos and videos than any other country in the world.
WhatsApp hopes to quickly prevent the dissemination of false information. However, it is possible to redirect messages where users can also copy a message or save a media file on the device, and then share more.The New WhatsApp updates will probably come with the option of limiting transfers.
